Copper pseudomorphs after Aragonite
Corocoro, Bolivia
Surprising pseudos because copper has none of the constituents of aragonite. The substitution accurred because the aragonite provided the slight basicity needed in reduction of copper ions to the metal and in so doing the aragonite got itself dissolved! 2cm. These specimens from $48 each
